This small choir of 15-20 mixed voices of all ages chose this name because it represents their members' different backgrounds, their common joy of singing, as well as their repertoire which ranges from sacred and classical music to folk songs and entertaining tunes. Quodlibet performs mostly "a capella" but is sometimes accompanied by the choir members on their instruments. Since the formation of the group amongst members of the German community in Ottawa in 2013, Quodlibet has sung during church services, in a hospital, at birthday parties and at various cultural events within the German community.

In memoriam: On July 13, 2021, we lost our longtime member, friend and very active participant in all aspects of our choir, Joachim M. We remember him very fondly, for his humour, his love of good music, and his stories. In this photo for the St. Albertus service dedicated to his memory, he is dressed for a role in a play, giving us a look that was so very typical.
Happy Birthday, Carmen G.!!!!
Virtual offerings - out of necessity and a desire to keep on singing and meeting with our friends.

Our second virtual offering is a traditional yodeler, "Der Hasbacher". Here again we have our returning choir members, plus a special guest joins the basses near the end. Enjoy! |
Our first virtual project is the "Irish Blessing". We had a number of guests join us for this, including former choir members now in Germany and elsewhere, plus two younger - future? - choir members. |
